Groover Exterminating Inc. provides termite inspection services. A simple inspection to determine if an insect is a termite or if damage is related to termite activity is free of charge.
If a full inspection of the entire home is needed a nominal cost may occur and the cost for a full inspection requiring a WDO Report is $80 or more depending on the age, size, and type of construction.
We can also protect your property before it is built by applying chemicals to the soil under the house (Termidor) or directly to the wood (Boron Treatment). Please call for an estimate. This estimate is based on the building size, the perimeter of the building, and/or the number of lineal feet of wall space.
Treatment for subterranean termites is accomplished by the use of bait stations that are regularly monitored or by the use of liquid insecticides that are injected into cracks and voids or placed in areas where termites gain access to the structure, or it may be accomplished by treating the wood itself.
New treatment methods are available to treat for dry-wood termites without the need for fumigation. It may be possible to treat dry-wood termites by injecting small amounts of chemical (that can not be detected by the termites) into wood cavities where they live and feed. These chemicals work slowly allowing the termites to share the chemically treated wood with the entire colony resulting in total colony elimination. They may also be controlled by physically removing the damaged wood from the structure, or by fumigating the building. This may not be a reasonable method for all situations, but we can advise you as to its potential success.
If you suspect termites or find damage to wood members of your home or building, Don’t Delay, please call for a free inspection.
